I’ve recently changed my site’s permalink structure from Default to ‘/%Postname%/’.

Most of the site is working as expected, with all pages loading and displaying the URL followed by the postname or slug.

However my Homepage, which is simply just my URL (mysite.com) will not load.

When I enter the URL, the browser searches for the page for about 30 seconds and then returns: ” ‘mysite.com’ page isn’t working. ”

The page will load when I enter mysite.com/home. But I would like to get the homepage to load without having to enter this. I also want to avoid setting up a forwarding address for SEO reasons.

I’ve spent countless hours looking for a solution to this problem without any success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Are you using a static home page?

Yep my Homepage is static. I should have said that I have my site built with a plugin called Prophoto.
Not sure of this could be a source of the problem.
