When I change the permalinks to postname, I get a 404 for all pages that don’t have a title. The URL appears to be correct – it uses the ID instead of the title, but the page is not found. If I add a title and edit the permalink (remove the # so it can be regenerated to the title), all is OK.

One way to try and get around it might be to use headings. This way you can keep the title, it will appear in the admin post list, but you can choose to display a blank heading on the front end. I’m thinking permalinks will still see the title..?

I used a plugin called WP title 2 to do the same thing at one time.

The way I managed the blank heading was to put some html in the heading field that wouldn’t show anything, I used:

may not be the best solution but a possible workaround, good luck.

Thanks, but I’m wondering if this is a bug or if I’m doing something wrong.
