    hello all,

I just started a new blog on wordpress. however, i’d like to be able to post my previous posts.

Is there a way to post the posts with the original date? For example, can I post something that dates back to Dec 2004?

    Thanks,
    Bobby

Were your posts in a format that can be imported into WordPress? Would be the easiest method.

But manually, when editing a post (or by clicking Advanced Editing from the “simple controls” post page), just check ‘Edit timestamp’ (under the Edit time section in 1.5) and change the date and time to your liking.

Are you importing old posts? If so they will retain their original dates.

If you’ve got just a few posts and you’re not importing, you can edit each post to reflect your chosen date. On the page where you edit a post, scroll down a little and you’ll see where you can change the date (be sure to check the Edit Timestamp box).

*note to self: don’t answer phone while posting, someone will beat you to it ??

In the Advanced control panel you can change the timestamp
