Posting via Email – attachments not showing

  • Hi,
    I’m using the latest wordpress 2.8.4. I have “blog by email” working fine for plain text emails: When I send an email to my secret address with “hi this is a test”, it will work properly and be posted to my blog.

    However, when I email in a picture attachment, one that is visible through my Webmail software attached to that same account, the entire post comes up blank. The title is made correctly, but the body of the blog post is totally blank and the text i wrote is removed.

    Both had text, one had a picture attached.

    Any ideas why the attachments can’t come through? They’re standard JPG’s taken from my blackberry camera. I tried sending other JPG’s through gmail and same thing.

    I am having the exact same issue with WordPress 2.9.2 on a dreamhost server. How did you resolve this?

    No, I was never able to fix it. I thought about diving into the code and doing it myself but never had time. Good luck.
