Posting to social media without linking pages?

  • Hey all.

    So heres my problem.
    I have been setting up a website for a friend using wordpress, and I have added jetpack to the site to link it all to the facebook and twitter pages to notify of new posts, However I messed up at one point and decided to start again, so I removed the database and files etc and started from scratch.

    However, Somehow the link to the twitter and facebook page is still there.
    I can’t find out where it is coming from because nothing I can see it linked.
    And facebook isnt showing me where its coming from.

    Is there a way I can find out how it is getting posted. and stop it happening?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    If you used Jetpack Publicize to automatically publish all posts to Facebook and Twitter, you should be able to break the connections by going to Settings > Sharing in your dashboard, and clicking on the small (x) icon to delete a connection.

    If that doesn’t help, could you post the site URL here, so I can have a look?

    have send a contact email to you with site URL and login details.

    Also just done a re-test and it is still pushing post updates to twitter and facebook, even though there are no accounts linked on the jetpack admin settings
