• I use “categories” to assign and post content to several main pages of my website. I created a new page (“Here’s the Latest”), made it a menu item (so it does appear in the header of my site), and added the page title to my list of categories.
But when I click on this new category to assign web posts to this new page, they do not appear there. This system works for several other pages (“The Morgue” and “Reading,” so I must be missing a step.
(Please make suggestions for solutions SIMPLE–thanks!) I have read the threads that appear related to this problem, and they seem to require coding or plug-ins. Somehow I cannot reconstruct how I made that connection.
The blog I need help with is vweisfeld.com. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

  • Your other categories (morgue, reading) use category archive pages. The ‘Here’s the Latest’ category seems to work as it should (if you click the category link) but you have set up a page with the same name. If you set your menu item to reference the category instead, it should work as the others do, and you won’t need a page.

It took a couple of minutes to figure out what you were saying, but then it suddenly became clear and I made the fixes you suggested. Working perfectly now. Thank you so much!!

Sorry, I should have said “Your other menu items (morgue, reading)…” Very glad you got it worked out, though.
