• Hi. I know that these are blogs and not websites. But I’ve set mine up in the form of a website. I’m wondering how to use the “write” tool to write new posts and import them onto my various pages – instead of having them automatically go to the main page.

    thanks a bunch

  • You can edit the pages from “Manage” on the Dashboard. What is the site URL so that I can see what you are doing?

    WordPress supports Posts (blog posts which appear as one long stream of posts) and Pages (where each is a separate page). To create a Page don’t select “write post” link from the main dashboard. Instead click on the “Write” tab and you get two options. “Write Post” and “Write Page”.

    Which brings up my question. Say I hypothetically write 20 blogs posts, does that mean that the main page will have 20 blogs running down it, or do they get stored away somehow, and if so how and when? I guess, more simply put, at what point do they leave the main page and go to there categories specifically?

    @draconusit,
    At the point where you study your own admin panel and learn about the tool you are using.
    admin > Options > Reading: Show at most… etc.

    Wrong idea. WP doesn’t work like that. You do NOT publish posts on Pages. Period.
