    Attn Wayne;
I have spent hours and hours and actually set up a brand new GoDaddy account to try to get Postie to work. I have access to 6 GoDaddy accounts and 4 of them work perfectly with Postie but 2 can’t access the emails. (No route to host) Error 113
The brand new account is one of these that won’t work. GoDaddy keeps telling me it has to be the plug in but I tend to think it is GoDaddy that is stopping this function. I have seen posts showing other people are having this same problem and have been unable to solve the issue. I wouldn’t spend this much time on this problem but Postie far exceeds JetPack and the built in WP Email Post feature.
As I mentioned, I set up a brand new account to see if that would work. I would be willing to provide you with access to the account if you think you might be able to see what is stopping Postie from working. All I would need is your email to send you an invitation.
I think this could help some of your other users, Looking forward to hearing back. Les

As much as I’d like to help, the “no route to host” message implies the DNS is not set up correctly on the GoDaddy server or they are blocking the connection.
The fix is to not use GoDaddy or find a support person who cares enough to really look into it.

    SOLVED FINALLY;
As someone else suggested, I created a new email address through the Cpanel functions in GoDaddy. After the email is created I went to the Configure button that showed multiple ways to auto configure the email for many other hosts.
At the bottom of the page it shows Manual Setup. This is for Postie.
Here is the key; The incoming server was not just pop.secureserver.net,
When you enter the MailServer in Postie be sure to use the full server name: a2plcpnlxxxx.prod.iad2.secureserver.net (The xxxx will vary depending on your account)
I used Pop3, no TLS with port 110 and everything works great now.
So easy once you know what to look for.
    Hope this helps others..

The Postie website has been updated with these new instructions. Thanks for your persistence Les.

    you say
Here is the key; The incoming server was not just pop.secureserver.net,
When you enter the MailServer in Postie be sure to use the full server name: a2plcpnlxxxx.prod.iad2.secureserver.net (The xxxx will vary depending on your account)

I have godaddy shared server access
    i get
    Incoming server (POP3):
    pop.asia.secureserver.net
    cant find the a2plcpnlxxxx.prod.iad2.secureserver.net
    setting anywhere
Email doesnt come up on my cpanel
I set this up some years ago and know i got it working
It really should come with a warning “unless you are real lucky expect a 10 hour install!” no joking

So the question is if anyone knows a sure fire way to find the full server name on godaddy let the rest of us know

Your incoming server may vary depending on your account and location.
If you sign into your GoDaddy Cpanel account. Click Email icon under “your building tools”. Next click the third icon ‘Mail Configuration”
Select the email you want to see. Scroll to the bottom of the page and on the left under manual settings it will show you your incoming server. This server may take 2 lines to display. Copy the entire mail server and use that server in your Postie Mail Server configuration.

As soon as I did this, my Postie Test was successful.
    Hope that clarifies the process.

gnfb, to add, you said you couldn’t see Email on your cpanel. Should be at the very top under Tools. Call GoDaddy and ask them if you have your email set up as a Cpanel email. If it is Exchange email this does not work on some servers.

LesTexas60 thanks for that info about using Cpanel functions in GoDaddy. That worked.

I’d like to add an additional work-around for those who also use Godaddy’s “Workspace Email” (which I was unable to get Postie to work with).
The work-around I found to make Postie work was:
    1. Creating a subdomain
    2. Creating an email account for Postie to use through Cpanel as you described. The email address needs to have the new subdomain in the email address.
    3. Add an MX record that points to your subdomain. Godaddy’s “Workspace Email” uses a different server than Cpanel emails accounts.

    Thanks Again,
    RM
