posting scheduled posts to twitter/tumblr

    Hi,

    Today I had the issue where the Tumblr Crosspostr posted scheduled posts (that were scheduled as far as September) to Tumblr and Twitter. I know it was the plugin, because I use jetpack for FB and it did not post to that page. It also seems like the plugin randomly decides to publish old posts to twitter/tumblr as well. I only want the plugin to post to Tumblr when I publish a post. Some of these posts reveal excerpts to novels that have not come out yet, so publishing a post that is scheduled in September is a big deal. If we wouldn’t have caught it, that would have been a bad situation for us.

    Does anyone know how to fix this? Otherwise I have to delete it and go back to using Jetpack (which I don’t like for Tumblr because it formats posts weird).

  • I’ve been having a similar problem with my website. I just scheduled a post for tomorrow and while the wordpress post is still listed as ‘scheduled’, the tumblr post has been posted already rather than schedule for tomorrow. Is there a way around this?

    No.

    As the plugin description states:

    Scheduling a WordPress post to be published any time in the future will add it to the Tumblr blog’s Queue. (However, the publishing schedule of your Tumblr queue will take precedence, so be careful!)
