Posting Problems

  • Major issue: none of the function keys in “Add New Post” work. They used to but I no longer have any functionality. I cannot copy a post from Word. I can’t load a new page. I’ve tried new themes and deactivating my plugins. Nothing seems to work. When I tried to type in the post, it disappears when I either save it or publish it. The only thing that publishes is the title.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the memory available to PHP?

    I found that the problem was Internet Explorer 9. As soon as I switched to Firefox the problem disappeared. Thanks for the help.

    authors of previously approved comments are not automatically being posted. What can I do?
