Posting not working when inserting image

    What in the world is going on? I have been doing this over and over again and it has always worked. I haven’t been into my theme files at all. I don’t know what the problem could be.

    When I start posting, everything works fine, and I go to insert a picture as usual (using the wysiwyg editor), and it shows up and I can resize it and everything, but if I try to save or publish, it pops up the screen asking if I’m sure I want to navigate away from this page because I will lose the data if I do. And I tried going to the html editor so I could copy it before navigating away and trying again, but NOTHING shows up in the html editor.

    But if I go and delete all the pictures, then my post does show up in the html editor and this doesn’t happen. But then, of course, I don’t have the pictures. I’ve tried pictures not hosted on my site with the same results, so I don’t think it could be a problem there.

    Another weird problem that seems completely unrelated, except for the fact that it is occurring at the same time, and it just started suddenly, without my having gone into the theme files at all, is my footer has moved over to the right.

    Please help if you have any suggestions. And thank you so much for taking the time to read about my problems!

    Try the images with the wysiwyg editor off.
    Also, you may want to fix some of these as they will bork your blog.

    I guess I should try that, problem is, I don’t know how to post without it! And it worked fine before, and I just realized what it might be. The only thing I’ve changed since it was working is adding this plugin: https://www.chroder.com/archives/2005/12/28/wordpress-plugin-inline-collapsible-more-link/#comment-11837

    I’m trying to delete it, but the icon in the post editor is still there, and I’m still having the problem.

    And I would love to fix those errors but I don’t know how. I tried fixing the first one awhile back, by doing what the TIDY program corrected it to, but it still gives a warning. I wish I had the time to learn this stuff, but I really just don’t.

    Hi All,

    I have the opposite problem 8/10 whenever I write a new blog the image uploader is nowhere to be seen at all, this is very annoying as when it is working its great.

    Any idea’s would save my sanity.

    Okay, the problem was with the plugin, but it was only a problem because I hadn’t upgraded to 2.1 yet. Thank you.

    Hi Thanks for that but I do have wp 2.1 and it still aint there, 12 times I’ve tried today repeating the exact same process but it only ‘appeared’ on my 12th attempt???
