I was thinking about converting one of my websites to WordPress, at the same time setting up a blog on a subdomain – all in one installation. But it sounds like that either can’t be done without a multi-site installation, or it’s really tricky.

So I’d like to try another approach.

Suppose I install WordPress on mysite.com, then do a second installation @ blog.mysite.com.

Is there a way I could make links to my blog posts show up in the sidebar of my main installation?

For example, if I’m viewing a page @ mysite.com/freedom, a link to my latest blog posts, including blog.mysite.com/narnia, would appear in freedom’s sidebar.

    Thans.

You could pull the RSS feed from the sub-site onto the main site.
