  • In the Customizer’s Home Section, make sure you didn’t check Hide Gallery Section, and make sure your Number of Photos isn’t 0.

Also, when you add each image, you do it by creating a post. In each post, you need to set the Format (see right column in the edit post screen) by checking Image, instead of Standard.

This threw me for a time. Hope that solves your problem.

Thank you so much for your help! I was able to post one picture with this method. Where is the “Number of Photos” option please?

Figured it out! When all else fails read the directions:

    https://modernthemes.net/documentation/gridsby-documentation/demo-content-import-tutorial/

I did not import the xml file. When I did everything in strict sequence as set out in the documentation – lo and behold it worked!

    Great! So glad it worked!

    Thanks for the assistance Ringodog!

For anyone else having issues getting Gridsby set up, we have great documentation on our website:

Hate to horn in, but I am having the same (sort of) problem. My new image posts show up in fullwidth gallery page but not on homepage. Is there something I’ve done wrong?

Can you provide a URL to your website?

Hello there. I really love the Gridsby site; at least the demo version. I’m having a similar problem as kentford. My images are showing up on the home page when I set the template to gallery page, but not home page. In addition, the demo pictures are still on the page. I assumed my pictures would replace the demos, but the demos are still on the page.

What I’m looking for in the site at this moment, is a home page with a gallery of images and a blog index below. In addition, I’d like to have a few more pages under different categories with their own galleries dedicated to their respective subjects.

I’ve read and applied the instructions to the best of my mental (perhaps limited) capacity.

Thank you so much in advance

    mattpress82,

You may have to adjust some settings in the WordPress customizer, including the order in which the images are displayed.

Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Photo Post Options.

You will prob have to swap ASC to DESC.

    Hi!
For some reason my post content is now showing up when I click on the image post on my homepage grid. Here is the website:

    https://www.hollyvianeinteriors.com/

Can you please let me know what I am doing wrong? I tried two methods:
    1) adding text as an excerpt and
    2) as content

Neither of them worked in either Photo Post Options. I appreciate any help you can give.

    Thanks!

Sorry! Follow up…I put test copy in the content and the excerpt sections of the first two posts:

Kitchen, Dining Room (first images on the homepage on the top row)

    Thanks!

Hi, just updated my Gridsby PRO theme, and for some reason my ‘Full width gallery page’ is only displaying the same amount of photos as the home page (which is set to ‘4’)

If i set home page to ‘0’ it displays all photos on homepage and full width gallery page.

what i would like is 4 on homepage, and full gallery on full gallery page.

    any help?

    alexwalkerwilson,

Gridbsy Pro is not a theme on the WordPress repository. You can access priority support for free from us from your account on our website.

    Thanks!
