Posting from admin panel, text color and size

    Ummm… maybe I missed something (I do that after a long day/week) :p. Was going to make a new post from the admin login, and the menu to set text color, size, etc, isn’t available.

    Is that gone with 2.8, or did I miss a setting to get that menu somewhere?

    In wordpress admin post writing page can not allow you to set the font and color..but you need to manage it from the stylesheet of your theme and apply it for your post..

    Just click on the little icon that looks like a keyboard…that should open a second row of icons and you should be able to do it from there.

    I was using text color in 2.7. I believe it was the way you mentioned Figaro. But I don’t see that keyboard in 2.8. That’s probably why I was at a loss.

    Maybe I’ll have to remove it and put 2.7 back in.

    Should be there…take a look at some of the editor problems/solutions at the link below…may be something there that will help.

    Nothing there, specifically that I could see. Did try clearing the cache, with no luck.

    Thanls kind of a necessity. Not being able to change font size and color of a post (especially with a dark background) is a hassle.

    Maybe I’ll have to rebuild the WordPress directory. This will be about the 3rd time. :p

    Did you try deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem?

    There are only 3 plugins: Akismet, Hello Dolly and one I just uploaded to see if the plugin feature was working, Tinymce Advanced.

    Just to get this straight – you can’t see the Visual Editor tab in the Add/Edit Post page? But you can see the HTML tab, yes?

    Have you checked to see if the Visual Editor has been disabled in Admin/Users&Authors/Your Profile?

    It really bugs me that wordpress finds it necessary to update every other week with worthless features and you can’t even control text color- that’s just retarded.

    Hi esmi,

    Yep, I see both tabs, Visual Tab and the HTML tab. It’s just that the icon to turn on the text attributes (color, size, etc) menu options is no longer in the Visual tab.

    If you like, I can send you a screenshot of the options I have on the Visual tab.

    Well, I reloaded 2.7 and it’s back to normal.

    Will leave it the way it is for now.
