Posting Document links on WP

Okay, just face me the right way and give me a little push if you could. Thanks.

I want to post documents (PDFs) on my blog and allow people to download them. Is there a simple way or a post where it tells me:

a) where to save the files
b) how to post them under a “Resources” category
