• I am posting from one WP blog to another using the SNAP plugin, and it seems now that the categories I assign are not being republished by the receiving site. The posts are otherwise clean, but the categories do not work.

    Any suggestions?

    Plugin does not create categories. Both sites must have categories with the same slug in order for them to be set.

    Both sites have the same category sets. This is the issue – it worked before then about three weeks ago it suddenly stopped porting categories.

    Are you sure that:

    – both sites have the same category slugs
    – you have “Post with categories” checkbox checked.

    They have had the same category slugs forever – again, this worked before and then stopped working out of nowhere – I made no changes to anything on either site between the plugin working and then not.

    Post with categories and tags are both checked.

    Now, neither categories nor tags carry through.

    I do notice that I have this posting error:

    [Error] [WP Based Blog – WP] – -=ERROR=- Array ( [pgID] => [isPosted] => 0 [pDate] => 2017-02-21 00:21:51 [Error] => -=ERROR=- Something went wrong – -32300 : transport error – HTTP status code was not 200 – 28 – Operation timed out after 25002 milliseconds with 0 bytes received | )

    Any thoughts on this please?

    Please increase timeout or check that your target site is fine and working.

    I have increased the timeout and the target site has had zero issues. Still, categories and tags do not port.
