• Hello: can we post a video (that we uploaded in our Media folder) as a slide in our homepage slider?

  • This Snippet could be used with Youtube/Vimeo videos. Not quite answered your question.

Thank you! Yes, I am wondering about videos that we’ve uploaded to our media folder, not YouTube/Vimeo video links.

I recommend using a slider plugin for this. There are many to choose from, and setup is easy.

Thanks ibogo! Which plugin do you recommend?
But what if I want the slider to look and function the same as it is in Customizr; Customizr’s is perfect and I wouldn’t want the slider to look like it’s not part of the theme/look out of place.

Revolution Slider is great, with more functionality than the Czr Slider. And costs < $20.

I uploaded a free plugin, and so there would be two sliders now: one for photos and one for videos (since this plugin I downloaded is only for videos). Now, is there a way to have two sliders show up on the home page/presentation page? I have the short code but don’t know where to place it.

Use this Snippet to set up a widget area where you want, and then insert the [shortcode] in a Text Widget.

Thanks for the quick reply, rdellconsulting! I pasted that snippet at the very end (after all the text) in the functions.php file. Now, I’m looking at the widgets page, but I don’t know where the short code goes.

    Try this
