    Hello,

I have the latest version of POSTIE (v1.8.41).
I cannot connect to my mail account. After pressing TEST CONFIG I still receive:
Unable to connect. The server said:
The username and password provided were not accepted for the POP3 server xxxxxxxxxxxxxx on port 110

I’ve tested my email server using Telnet as you recommended in FAQ and it is OK.
Email name and password are correct too.
    Could you help me?

    Regards

    Krzysztof

Postie is just relating what the email server is reporting – “The username and password provided were not accepted”

Double and triple check that the user name and password are entered correctly.

That sounds like a Gmail error, but gmail doesn’t work on port 110.

I’ve checked several times the name and password are correct.
It is not Gmail. My server is Serwer POP3: pop3.proste.pl ( Port: 110 ).
I was using earlier versions 1.7.x and it was working (2016 Oct).
Now I wanted to use it again and I have this message ??

The issue turned out to be that the mail server did not support the APOP command and immediately disconnected.
Postie 1.8.42 no longer tries to use the APOP command.

I’m not a programmer so what do you suggest that I do to get it to update correctly?
    Thanks

@bramint I think you responded to the wrong thread.

It works after the latest update.
    Thanks.
