Postie problematic

  • When I look at the existing reviews, I wonder what product they are talking about. I do not recommend this plug-in for non-technical people hosted by GoDaddy. It has required days of trial and error and multiple calls to GoDaddy tech support to even make the connection work. Still not able to post to our website. Never had this kind of trouble from a plug-in and disappointed that it is suggested as easy. The installation documentation treats very lightly the most important items. None of the suggestions, like encasing your title between # or putting your title on the first line worked.

    I appreciate your frustration, but not sure you can blame Postie for restrictions imposed by GoDaddy which are documented https://postieplugin.com/postie-godaddy/

    Postie will use the subject line for the post title. You appear to be referring to the ability to supply the subject in the email body. This is an old feature which was specifically developed for SMS/email gateways and requires a specific setting. See https://postieplugin.com/faq/supply-subject-email-body/ for more info.
