I rec’d the following error today when I tried to run manually:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class simple_html_dom in /usr/www/users/[.......]/plugins/postie/simple_html_dom.php on line 988

The offending recently added plugin is:

Category Specific RSS Menu || v1.13 <–Postie works when this is Deactivated

Let me know if there is anything I can do to use both the offending plugin and postie simultaneously.

    Thanks

This is a bug in the Category Specific RSS Menu plugin. I’ve reached out to the author and explained how to fix it.
In the meantime you will need to disable it to allow Postie to run.

Thanks. Much appreciated that you would reach out to the rss author.

    Wayne —

I wanted to update you on the Cat Specific RSS Menu plugin. Apparently the author may have in fact made a change .. but it’s for the worse I’m afraid. At this point, if that plugin is activated, and I click to run Postie (either regular or debug) it just freezes with NO ERROR. This is a problem I would assume.

Are there any errors in the server logs?

    Simply
[Fri Jul 17 11:33:18 2015] [error] [client xx.xx.27.1] Postie: Checking for mail manually, referer: or
[Fri Jul 17 11:37:03 2015] [error] [client xx.xx.27.1] Postie: Checking for mail manually with debug output, referer:
And nothing after that either in logs nor on screen .. just dies.

Postie Test-Config works just fine and properly.
deactivation of Category RSS plugin causes Postie to work fine and properly.

    thanks

Is there another plugin you can use in place of Category RSS?
