Postie permissions on filez and photos folders

  • Hi All, Anyone using postie got it to work without having to set 0777 on the wp-filez and wp-photos folders?

    I was thinking like 0755. In anyones opinion would it be possible to temporarily set permissions if postie gets an email for the duration of writing to those two folders with something like chmod()

    Any ideas anyone

    I tried setting chmod 0777 with exec() before and after writing a file and our host has disabled (sensibly) exec() function. Any other ideas anyone?
