Postie featured image is NOT full width

    I am attaching an image to my postie email –> posts. The image comes through as a featured image, but the image is only about 90% width – not full width like it is when I add a feature image manually to a post. Is there a setting to take care of this?

    Not sure why there would be a difference. Postie doesn’t do anything to the image except attach it to the post. Maybe your theme is expecting something?

    Thanks for your quick reply, Wayne.

    As far as I can tell, the theme isn’t doing anything to the image. If I create a post manually and select a “feature image” from the media library, it comes out as full width.

    I would suggest that the theme is doing something or they would be the same. Can you compare the actual html that is generated for a manually created post and one that goes through Postie?

    I can look at the HTML in the post editor, but I don’t know how to view the HTML that goes through Postie.

    I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that in Postie, I have set the default encoding to HTML instead of Plain text.

    You can’t see the featured image markup in the editor. I really intended you to view the page that looks right and then choose “view source” in your browser and then the same in the one that doesn’t look right.

    Or you can send me a link to one of each and I’ll take a look.

    Plain or html won’t affect how the featured image is displayed.
