Postie fail to delete the email after posting

    I’m using Gmail, everything works fine, except, I get multiple posts published because Postie fail to delete the email after posting.

    The checkbox DELETE EMAIL AFTER POSTING is checked, yet, the email remains in the inbox and Postie keeps posting a new post every 5 min to the website (I have Postie checking for email in the inbox every 5 min)

    What do I do ?
    I have to manually go and delete the email otherwise I get a new post published every 5 min !!!!!

    After posting this, I came upon THIS TOPIC HERE. Same issue.

    I went ahead and removed Gmail and used a dot.com email instead.
    Same issue. Postie fail to delete the email after posting, and keeps posting posts, after posts, after posts, to the website. Worst still, I deleted the email, and Postie keeps posting the post to the website.
    I dunno why it does this.

    I found a solution.

    1. I used Gmail POP3-SSL
    2. In Gmail settings, after enabling POP, I picked “When messages are accessed with POP”: DELETE GMAIL’S COPY
    3. It worked !

    The email was deleted, and the multiple posts stopped.
