Postie 1.9.53 on WordPress 5.5.1 is not connected with Gmail IMAP server

    I’ve installed postie 1.9.53 with WordPress 5.5.1 and as shown in the user guide I’ve created a gmail account, enabled IMAP and did the process as the guide but the IMAP server is not connected. Produced the following result in the test config page.

    Postie connection: sockets
    Postie protocol: imap-ssl
    Postie server: imap.gmail.com
    Postie port: 993
    Unable to connect. The server said: There was an error connecting to the server php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known

    This error is from your hosting company. Some companies do not allow outbound connections. You’ll need to contact them for an answer.
