In the posts of my site, the publication date shows the month first and then the day. Is it possible to invert the two values?

    Hi @francescomas,

It should be possible to make this change from Settings > General > Date Format. Try selecting the Custom field and adding j F, Y.

    Does that help?

    Hi @gemmaevans,

It was already set to the j F Y option. Anyhow I tried selecting the custom field and adding j F, Y, but nothing changed in the post view.

    Hi @francescomas,

You’re right, this change isn’t being saved on my test site either. This means one of two things — the date format is hard coded into the theme or there is a theme bug. Cheers was retired two years ago so there won’t be any new updates in the future.

Editing the date format in the template files is a possible option. This isn’t something I would normally recommend as any changes made can be overridden by updates (and the theme may not work properly), but there won’t be any new updates for this retired theme.

    Hi @gemmaevans,

I created a child theme for Cheer, within which I could edit the date format.

    Hi @gemmaevans,

From the very beginning my problem was just how to change the child theme to reverse day and month.
