• Hey there,

I really like how this plugin works with Australia POST allowing you to be very specific with the options you want to use.

I have started testing it and while the domestic Satchel prices (signature + insurance) seem fine, I have been having some trouble with Parcels.

For an express parcel 20.2×20.2×5.2 (cm LxWxH) 2.2kg, signature + $120 insurance, (after adding tare & 10% weight to a product originally 20x20x5cm 2kg)
    Australia POST website estimates $27.95.
The plugin estimates $34.30 (Insured Express (Inc. Signature)).

All handling charges are set to zero.

    Any ideas for the inconsistency?

    Thanks!

Apologies for not replying sooner. I didn’t get any notification for this and only just stumbled across it.

Could you please provide a link to the product(s) so that I can do some testing.

Have you enabled the DEBUG for any clues (for example, is the price returned from the server that same as what it shown to the customer?)

    Cheers

I’ve just ran a few tests and checks, but I can’t seem to find a combination of origin/destination suburbs that produces a quote of $27.95 from the ozpost servers.

Ove those that I did check I didn’t find any discrepancy between Australia Post and ozPost prices.

Using your example, from Adelaide 5000 to Perth 600
For an express parcel 20.2×20.2×5.2 (cm LxWxH) 2.2kg, signature + $120 insurance, (after adding tare & 10% weight to a product originally 20x20x5cm 2kg)

Both the AustPost and Ozpost servers return with
    $45.30 Parcel = $39.35 +$2.95 sig + $3.00 insurance)
    $20.75 Satchel = $14.80 +$2.95 sig + $3.00 insurance)

Check your tax settings and/or handling fees – as these are the only changes that are made to the figures after being sent from the servers.

    Cheers
