“post_id=” only showing reading time of current post

    Hi,

    I’m trying to use the “post id” function in the shortcode ([rt_reading_time post_id=”123″]) but it keeps displaying the reading time of the current post and not the reading time of the post id. Is there a way to show the reading time of a specific post id?

    Hi, could you give me any more information about how you’re using the shortcode and which version of the plugin you’re running?

    Also the shortcode you shared above has curly quotes which will cause issues. It may have just been the forum adding those but worth checking out as that will cause an issue. It should always use the straight quote character ".

    Curly quotes
    [rt_reading_time post_id=”123″]

    Straight quotes
    [rt_reading_time post_id="123"]

    Thanks Jason, the curly quotes were causing the problem. It’s working correctly now.
