[post_excerpt] gives old instead of new excerpt

    When I update a page (not a post), the [post_excerpt] notification is delivering the previous content instead of the updated content. While I can tell what page is revised from the excerpt, it would be helpful if the shortcode returned the updated content. (I have not tried on posts as I configured revision notifications only for pages).

    Thanks for your message.

    I have just tested this but wasn’t able to replicate this issue. In my testing, the latest version of the excerpt was shown in the Page Updated BNFW notification.
    It’s possible a theme or plugin is saving the page prior to the notification being sent and so it’s not showing the updated excerpt yet.

    To rule this out, please can you make your way through this document and let me know how you get on?
