post visibility

  • Hello

    Is it in some way possible to make posts that are only visible to certain categories?
    I would like to allow the contributors to see certain posts, but not show these to other people.

    Is this possible?
    I’m not searching to hide them (ie. exclude them from front page or links) but really restrict access to them, without showing a password or anything.

    That’s my problem, the solutions I found hide the posts, they don’t restrict access.
    In phpbb for example, some forums only show up to those belonging to a certain group. The others have no knowledge about the forum.

    I think it would require an extra field in the database that decides what records have to be pulled from the database and what not…
