post via email/google apps questions

  • I’m trying to set it up so that all email sent to a certain address will be posted.

    1. I’m using a google apps email address, so it’s port 993 or 993 depending if I want pop or imap. This is all pretty straightforwards. My posts never show up though, so I’m curious

    2. How often does wordpress check the email address that I entered?
    Are the emails drafts by default? I want to know because this is a project for work and i don’t want my work’s blog to have a dozen posts on it at midnight tonight with titles like “test-test” “testes 123” “wtf? why doesn’t this work?” etc.
