post-via-email for multiuser setup

  • I have a multiuser blog site and would like to allow users to posts their entries via e-mail (and the entries to be owned by the corresponding user).

    Is it possible? How to accomplish this?

    Er? What’s a “WordPress MU”? I’m using a stock 1.5 setup.

    Do you mean that you have a multiple-author blog?

    I don’t really see the point of posting through email. Anyone want to explain how someone might want to use that?

    Yes, vanilla blog with multiple authors, some of which requests this feature. Sorry for confusion.

    I’m considering this as well. I’ve got a multi-author blog (running on WP 1.5 ).

    The application is that my co-author doesn’t get to spend much time online and does most of his blog reading and writing on the road on his Palm Pilot. He has the ability to write emails that send when he syncs which would make the post by email feature a potential benefit. It’s only if it comes pretty close to full functionality. Otherwise, it makes more sense for him to compose in a notes screen, sync, then cut and paste.
