• Great update! Love the ability for users to comment!

Two things I see so far:

    1. I see an error in the settings section (where the Links & Support and Troublshooting is located. It reads:

Warning: get_browser(): browscap ini directive not set in /home2/XXXXX/public_html/XXXXX.com/wp-content/plugins/helpful/core/Admin.class.php on line 417

    2. How does the new feedback feature work with the “After Voting” (pro and contra) section in the TEXTS section of the settings? It seems you cannot have both enabled; nor does it make sense to have both enabled.

    3. Still holding out hope you will switch to a percentage basis rather than nominal vote count when listing content in the dashboard widget. Or at least provide an option to do so. Most helpful and most popular content (lots of votes) are certainly not the same thing.

    Hi @anefarious1,

thank you as always for your feedback!

    1. I’ll take care of the bug. This is actually to find out the browser you are using. It will be written there in the sidebar to make it easier to help in the future.

    2. You can decide for yourself if you want a feedback form for both votes. You can activate both. Then the respective contribution will be saved with an indicator under Feedback. You can simply test it and see what happens.

    3. I didn’t think about that, of course I can add an option for it. I will do that shortly, and fix the other bug.

    Thanks again!

    Sorry, I misunderstood your question.

    2. The text under Feedback is displayed before the form field as information for the form. The text under Texts is displayed after the form has been sent. So all texts will be shown as before. Only that the form is in between.

    Hi Pixelbart,

Regarding #2 I now see how they work together. Beautiful!

After testing out the new feedback feature, can I recommend this (if possible):

User comments should be displayed in their own column within the feedback list screen. As of now, it is too time consuming to go in and view each comment individually (lots of unnecessary clicks and very cumbersome).

Absolutely love what you are doing. If you develop a premium version please advise as I will buy it. Thanks again!!!!

Good idea, I’ll deal with it the next days. Today I can’t do it anymore because I’m still at work. ??

There will be no pro version, because I prefer to keep the plugin for free. You can donate on the plugin page here on www.remarpro.com if you absolutely want to. But it is not necessary at all. Feedback is more important and valuable, you always have enough of it. ??

@anefarious1 Messages now have their own column in the overview. It’s not very nice, but it works. You can turn it on and off in the options.

It looks OK to me Pixelbart. I’d imagine if the column width was very narrow it would look bad. I have another plugin which allows me to customize columns and so the width sufficient for displaying the feedback. Actually, if you wish to shorten the feedback, I don’t think you need to include the link to the post after the feedback because another column displays which posts the feedback is associated with.

    Regarding the percentage change…

I was hoping you’d have the option to list posts in the dashboard widget based on highest PRO and CONTRA percent rather that only nominal votes counts (as it stands now). Please consider it. Again, highest nominal vote tally certainly doesn’t mean the post is “most helpful” since it could actually have more CONTRA votes than PRO votes.

Thanks for your feedback. I don’t think I’ll put any more in the widget because it’s already very overloaded. But I am thinking about another solution. Since statistics are always a bit more work, this can take some time.

Maybe you can expect me to include a statistics page for Helpful. Until then I have to put more data into the feedback of Helpful so that I can use it. For example the post-id and the type of feedback. This is currently only stored in text form.
