Purchased upgrade to my book table and also purchased my speaking events on 5/8/15. Both plugins give me the following error:

MyBookTable Rewrites Error – You have a plugin or theme that has post types or taxonomies that are conflicting with MyBookTable. MyBookTable pages will not display correctly.

MySpeakingEvents Rewrites Error – You have a plugin or theme that has post types or taxonomies that are conflicting with MySpeakingEvents. MySpeakingEvents pages will not display correctly.

I am using the latest version of Headway Theme 3.8.1 and latest version of wordpress 4.2.2. Is there anyway to fix this. There are no other plugin activated as this is a brand new site I’m just creating.

Just tried switching themes and used wordpress twenty fifteen theme and same error appears after refresh. So it would appear that it’s not a problem with Headway.

Is there a known issue with these plugins and the Headway theme? It is the primary theme I use for my author site.

    Thanks for your help.

Screen shot above didn’t work, not sure how to add one. Hope the description is sufficient.

I was able to figure out the problem, I think. I changed the permalink settings from custom structure to post name and that seems to have fixed the problem. So moving on to what looks like a great plugin.

    Hi Zanti,

Glad you got your problem fixed, could you let us know what permalink structure you were using that was not working properly with MyBookTable? As far as we know it should work with custom permalink structures but we have not tested all possible permutations so it’s possible there is a bug there.

    Thanks,
    ~Tim

    Hi MyBookTable support crew,

I just purchased a MyBookTable developer license and I’m experiencing the very same problem as Zanti had. I’m using this custom permalink structure:

    “/blog/%category%/%postname%/”

About the template, I’m using a custom one made with Artisteer with tons of loaded plug-ins (about 50). So, instead of disabling all the plug-ins in order to see which one’s causing the issue, I decided to temporarily switch the permalinks from “custom” to “post name”. Then the error message disappeared, but when I switched back to the custom permalink the error appeared again. Could this be a bug as @zookatron previously mentioned in this thread?

    Cheers,
    Beri

    Thanks @kbericat,

The permalink issue is a known bug, we’re working on releasing a fix for it as soon as possible.

OK Tim thanks a lot for letting me know it. I’ll wait for this fix before implementing your plugin (which I really love) on my other sites.

    Cheers,
    Beri

Tim, a quick question. I’m seeing the same error message on a site I’m working on for a friend – but the pages do seem to generate properly. What actually does it effect and is there a way to work around it?

We just released MyBookTable 2.1.3 which includes a fix for this problem. If you are still seeing this error message after updating, please leave details about what exactly your permalink structure is and I will see if I can replicate it.

    ~Tim

Hi Tim, I have v2.1.3 with developer upgrade 2.0.8 and am still receiving the same message. This is the custom structure I’m using: https://www.smallfishbigfish.net/wordpress/%category%/%postname%/

I’m unable to reproduce the permalink error with the ‘/wordpress/%category%/%postname%/’ permalink structure. Are you sure you cleared your cache after setting this permalink structure? Sometimes it takes a little while for permalinks to take effect, depending on your configuration.

    ~Tim

It’s just started for me with MyBookTable 2.1.3
with the Professional Upgrade 2.0.8, the warning started after I upgraded genesis framework, I can roll back genesis, but I’d really rather not, and I definitely can’t change the permalink structure.

I don’t actually see anything is broken, I just get that warning message, can it be disabled, as I see it on every admin page.

Hi @marclouis, what permalink structure exactly are you using?

    Hi @zookatron

    Just this:

    /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%

Been like this for a few years

    (@zookatron)

The ‘/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%’ permalink structure should definitely be working. That’s what we use for most of our websites and we have never had any errors display with it. I would try disabling your other plugins and theme (be sure to refresh your permalinks afterward) and test it out, that will show whether or not this is an incompatibility with your theme or another plugin that you have on your website.

    Hey @patrick-mcdermott, @marclouis,

We just found another edge-case bug that causes the error message to show incorrectly when installed on a website that is housed under a subdirectory (for example, has a home page of https://www.website.com/subdirectory/). If your websites are set up this way then the error messages should go away after the next update.
