post to 2 pages; list multiple categories on one page
-
Hi,
I’m a noob, forgiveme, and I’ve read quasi-similar posts to my problem, but I still can’t figure out how to do it.
My small company just started a blog that everyone posts to regularly. I also want to have a separate page that holds all our press clippings—different types listed under different sections of the page.
I need the press clippings to be posts, that everyone could upload using the wordpress interface, just like we do for blog posts. But, by choosing one of the 5 “Press” subcategories, that should be an indicator to post that entry to the 2nd page, not the main one.
I have about 5 different types of press that have their own sections, listed one after another, all on the 2nd page. I can’t figure out how to set it up so that on my second page, it lists all posts from category “P1” then maybe a <hr> or some divider, then lists all posts from category “P2”
I’ve tried a couple plugins, but the closest I’ve come is just a list of the blog post titles, linking to their singlepost page. I really need the list to look and act basically like the front page. Any post marked as a subcategory of Press should go to the appropriate section of the 2nd page, and any post marked as anything else should be listed on the main blog page. Is this possible?
Any thoughts on how to accomplish this? I would really appreciate any help! Thanks!
