Thanks for reaching out and sharing the experience you’re encountering. From checking your REST endpoints I don’t notice anything obvious which may be impacting this behavior. What may be occurring however is within your Google Analytics setup (at analytics.google.com) did you include the no1 path along with your site domain – in the “Default URL” field as below?

Thanks for replying James Osborne. Yes i have included the no1 path along with my site domain – in the “Default URL” field in Google Analytics property settings.

Great, thanks for letting me know. As you already have a redirection in place at site level you could try and remove the no1 path within your Analytics settings.

I’ll try and recreate the same experience from my side also, to check whether it’s required to disconnect the Analytics Site Kit module and connect once more. Please allow me some time to check this as I’ll have to setup a site with the same Analytics configuration, while waiting for data.

@emyoosolutions Just to keep you updated I’ve setup a site similar to your own, with the path included in my Analytics settings. It will take some more time to test this, with data not yet fully collected. In the meantime have you tried to change the default URL within Analytics?

@jamesosborne yes i have changed the default URL in Analytics account and remove the /no1/ despite being my base website directory. Now i am also giving it some time to readjust and will check the result in a day or two. Let you know also but i observed one thing analytics dashboard shows post title above and its url below. When i click the title it is points to wrong url as i explained in initially in my question however if i click the url below that post title in Analytics it points correctly to the website and link open nicely.

Interesting, thanks for sharing your findings so far. Once I have data collected on my install I’ll try and recreate the same issue. Feel free to share a video using a service such as Loom or RecordIt if you wish, we may need to open a GitHub issue to investigate this further.

@emyoosolutions Many thanks for your patience on this. I’ve been able to recreate the same invalid link and I created the below GitHub issue:
    https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/2821

In the meantime please share any findings you may have uncovered after removing your path from Analytics. I’ve done the same from my side so we can update the GitHub issue accordingly. Thanks for helping us to identify this.

Were you able to fix this issue? I’m having a similar issue where I get:

It looks like the URL https://ztsoyoye.com/blog/blog/2021/02/05/the-role-of-characters/ is not part of this site, therefore there is no data available to display.

Please let me know if there is a solution

@ztsoyoye Thanks for getting in touch. We don’t have any fix in place for this yet although feel free to subscribe to the related GitHub issue to be notified of any updates.

If you’d like us to troubleshoot your site setup specifically to confirm the same setup at Analytics level – with a “blog” path defined in your case feel free to open an individual support topic.

@ztsoyoye Many thanks for your patience on this. Thanks to you raising this we’ve since managed to put a fix in place as per the GitHub issue below:
    https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/2821

Can you inform me if you have the same setup as initially described, and if so check whether Site Kit now works as expected?

@jamesosborne I do have the same setup and I do believe the issue may have been resolved with the latest update. Thank you.

@ztsoyoye Yes, this should be resolved in the latest version. Can you upgrade and share whether all is working as expected?

@emyoosolutions Can you also download the latest version of Site Kit and check that the issue is resolved on your side?

Yes all is working as expected i believe although some links don’t have analytics, this might be due to low traction but at least it doesn’t give an error @jamesosborne

Good to know, many thanks for the update. Be sure to open a support topic if you have any further Site Kit queries and we’d be happy to assist. If you’ve been a Site Kit user for a while please also consider sharing your plugin feedback..
