post thumbnails resizing problem

When I create a new post, I set a picture to be the featured image and click ‘full size’. It’s showing up, but instead of being fullsize, wordpress is cropping it down to 140×150 (thumbnail size) and then blows it back up to 140×207 instead of just using the original size. Anyone know what’s happening?
