• When i post any article using media from already uploaded images, thumbnails are working fine,
but when i use url (Image from other’s website), thumbnail is showing broken,

i checked the src link in the browser by inspecting the background code, it is not reffering to the upload folder.

the src link it is reffering is: If you click here you will get 404 error

and normally when i chose media from already uploaded images, it is reffering path to upload directory: if you click here it will display the thumbnail image

I tried all possibilities, even i have trried Force Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, it has not worked for me

As per my understanding it is taking wrong src path for displaying thumbnail (it is not reffering upload directory)
and manually if i check the upload directory that image is availble in the directoy.
Thumbnail Image: Click here to view Thumbnail

I am stucked with this issue by so many days.
    Any help is much appriciated

How do you expect a thumbnail to appear on your site if you are just referencing an image on another site?
So you write in your post “image on site A”, and expect some thumbnail to appear “thumbnail of site A image on my site”?

Where exactly are you putting the address of the other site’s image? Is it a complete URL?
Why do you use other site’s image and bandwidth on your site? That’s called hot-linking and it is not nice.

    Thank you for your response,

in my website, i am using using complete url to the image while posting an article

is that dangerous to my website?

if so i will stop using it

Your question does not make sense.
You are referring to an image on an external site and want to know why there is no thumbnail on your site.
It is not dangerous to link to other sites. It is what makes the web a web (interconnected). But if you link to another site’s images, you are using their bandwidth quota to show it on your site. That is like stealing. It is not nice. Of course, if that other site is built for that purpose, that is different (like youtube provides easy ways to embed their content on your site).

Few days back, it was working fine, even it was displaying thumbnail which was posted using URL on my articles,

after updating something (i have changed the plugin for posting the articles (or Posts)).
after this update, it is not working now.

i am not getting what gone wrong.

if i use already uploaded images in my media library
those images are working fine and it is displaying as thumbnail,

i hope i am able to explain you, what my issue is..

    i really appreciate your help.

    You just said it:

after updating something (i have changed the plugin for posting the articles (or Posts)).

So if you have a plugin to help you with this, you should ask in the plugin’s support forum, because WordPress does not create thumbnails for external images.
