post text displayed under image cutting off words

Thanks you for the easy to use theme. Under each post featured image on my main page, the text which appears beneath cuts off the heading of the blog. Is there a limit to the number of words? If so can I increase the word limit please? Or can I chose which words gets used? thanks Natalie
