• Hi,

I would like to add author names to my posts. For that I use the a custom taxonomy that I called “Authors”

I created the tags within the Authors taxonomy interface, for example I created :

    – Clarke, Arthur C.
    – Bradburry, Ray
    – etc.

As you can see they have colons ‘,’ between the last name and the first name.

Now, when I’m editing a post and I want to add one of those Authors, I type for example “cl” and it shows me “Clarke…” on the automatic dropdown. That’s all good, I can select it and it.

The problem is that once I click Add, it adds the tag as two separate tags, “Clarke” and “Arthur C.”

This is obviously caused by the fact that I have colons in the tags (and WP uses that colon to separate tags). But is there any way we could have that work ?

ps. I use a custom taxonomy here, but the problem is exactly the same with “classic” tags in a post.
