Post Tags Broken

  • I just updated my site to 2.8.4. Now, when I write a post, I cannot add Tags. The text box is there in the side bar but it will not take input.

    When I click on the box the default text will not vanish as I remember it use to. And, after I enter my Tags, the “Add” button does not do anything.

    Any recommendations on what I should do to test so I can provide more input? Also, has anybody else experienced this behavior?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
