Post Summary/Excerpt on Home Page

  • I am needing help trying to make the latest posts home page show excerpts instead of the full posts. What ways can I do this?

  • yes, I have the same problem. How can I disable the full post view and enable the excerpt in the blog page ?

    This issue exists for me as well. Seems the theme does not use the setting from the Settings > Reading > For each article in a feed, show “Summary”

    Is it possible this will be fixed soon? Didn’t want to change the theme files myself to fix this.

    Flounder doesn’t currently support post excerpts, but we’re considering it for a future release.

    hi -in the meantime these two plugins (need both) might help you?
    1.Widgets on Pages
    And then set up a widget on pages (for home page) to display in the main body of the home page using the plugin:
    2. Recent Posts Widget Extended (which allows you to select excerpts)

    .. but might need a bit of styling?
    Haven’t tried it on the home page though!
