• Hi,
we are trying to build up a video site. We already have the video theme and other stuff configured.
Now we just need what follows and we are trying to figure out which form plugin is the best one to purchase for our purposes, but as we cannot buy and try all the forms pluing we are trying to figure out which one would suit our needs.

WPforms seems to have all the features we need except for one that we are not sure we would be able to make it work without a coding developer

    Basically we need:
users to be able to make posts and upload their videos through our wordpress site to youtube
And wpforms seems to be able to do all this stuff (great!)

BUT: we also need the videos uploaded by our users to be somehow retrieved back from youtube (embedded) and placed inside the posts the users have created when posting anduploading the video from frontend through wpforms+submission addon+zapier addon.

I read the following conversation between an operator and a user in one of your guide’s page:
    User’s Question:
Can these videos be placed on a page on my site? So, I get that uploaded video gets stored on my site, but can I have the option to actually have a page on my site with these videos – in conjunction with it being placed on youtube?
    Operator Answer:
Great question. If you use our Post Submission addon, then the video file can be used as a custom field value in your posts.
So once the user submits the form, the data from it will be used to publish a post with the video added to it.

We have more details regarding our Post Submission addon here.
If you have a WPForms license, you have access to our email support, so please submit a support ticket.

Now I have read the referered documentation but I can’t understand how it would work? Would we need to create some meta boxes and so would we need actual coding or can something be achieved without coding?

    Hi @nikemede,

    Thanks for reaching out!

By default, with the Post Submission form you can map the form fields on to a post’s title, post content, post excerpt, post type, featured image, post status and author.

If you’d like to map additional form fields to a post, such as the File Upload field, you’ll need to add custom fields to your WordPress posts. One way to do this could be to use the Advanced Custom Fields plugin.

With the custom field enabled for your posts, you can add its meta key to the Post Submission settings in the form, and choose the corresponding form field (like this example).

For more details on custom fields in WordPress, you can see this WPBeginner tutorial.

To display the custom fields in the published post, your site theme will need to have the ability (or be customized using code) to display the custom fields.

    Hope this helps!

If you have further questions about paid features of WPForms, please contact us by submitting a support ticket. This is because www.remarpro.com rules do not allow us to provide extensive support for paid features of WPForms on the support forum for WPForms Lite.

    Thanks!
