I received an email with the following title,

      Post SMTP email error

Below is the information in the body of the email. I have omitted some of the personal information:

From: *******@*******.sgvps.net (I think this is a Siteground email address)

“You getting this message because an error detected while delivered your email.
You are welcome to post a support issue.
The log to paste with your support issue:
    Invalid “To” e-mail address “********@icloud.con””

I believe I am receiving an error because the customer entered his email incorrectly when making a purchase from our online store. He entered .con instead of .com

I’ve never had this issue before. Even when customers have entered their emails incorrectly in the past I would still get a copy of the “completed order” email. This time I did not. All I received was the Post SMTP email error. If I hadn’t checked my orders page I would not have known that I received an order.

Also, I am using the following:
    Wordpress 4.9
    Woocommerce 3.2.5
WC Multiple Email Recipients- This plugin is used so that the admin can receive a copy of the completed order email. Normally only the customer receives it.

    Hi,

The message is an update I added.

When a message is failed to send it will fallback to the local mail system.
Except notify I do not block anything and the email flow continue as regular,
if you didn’t get a Woocommerce email I would investigate in other places it’s not related to Post SMTP.
