Post SMTP config with WPX and MXRoute

  • TL;DR: Has anyone been able to get Post SMTP work properly on a WPX hosted website with a mail service like MXRoute or Mailcheap?

    I’ve been using Post SMTP on my VPS with both MXRoute and Mailcheap over the past few years with no issues. I’ve now been testing a new host, WPX. It’s supposed to be like some sort of managed-ish WP hosting, but it seems to be pretty customized and a bit locked down in some weird ways.

    After setting up a new WP install with Post SMTP, I’ve been having issues getting it to authenticate with my MXRoute account.
