post shortcode fails if referenced post is protected by dap
-
Hi there,
I run a membership site with three different membership products. I have an archive page where I use the posts shortcode to call up posts. If a member does not have access to the product that allows them to view a post, then the entire page will not load for that member.
If I just type out the name of the post and manually link it to the post, it works fine. If the user clicks on that link, the member will be directed to the page and THEN won’t be able to see it if they don’t have access.
But, using the posts shortcode to call up the posts for the archive renders the entire page broken if the user doesn’t have access to even one of the referenced posts.
I have reached out to DAP, the membership software developers, to see if they have a workaround, but please let me know if there is a workaround here. Members SHOULD be able to see ALL of the posts listed in the archives, whether DAP says they have access or not. They SHOULD be able to click on them, and when they land on the referenced post, THEN DAP should let them know they do or do not have access.
Please advise. Also opened a ticket with support as I have purchased several licenses. I hope I’m making my issue clear.
