post remove front page

Hello,

I have put a sticky post which I want to keep on the front page but the next post I don’t want it to show on the front page
In the user settings it has ‘1’ post to display ticked it won’t let me show ‘0’ so how can I remove that post from the front page. Its featured on the slider which I want but not under the welcome page on the front page.
