I just upgraded to WP 2.0 and I’m thrilled! I’ve only run into one problem: when I tried to post it gave me the “enable sending referrers” error. I looked that up and have determined that the problem is that my bookmark is directly to my post.php page, and therefor the referrer isn’t a wp-admin page and thus it isn’t letting me post. If I click on a different admin page first, then back to post.php and try, it lets me.

I’ve had post.php bookmarked for years now, and that’s really the way I prefer to do it – going to the dashboard takes forever to load. So I need some way of disabling the referrer for this page, or even setting it up so that any referrer from my domain is accepted. I understand it’s an extra security measure, but it already checked that I logged in, correct? I don’t need/want to turn this feature off for everything, just my post.php would be fine.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Okay, I’ve solved the problem. I did find out how to disable it in post.php, but in doing some testing I found out that I SHOULD be able to post even with a direct bookmark to post.php, even with it enabled – the problem was my urls didn’t quite match (www.domain.com vs domain.com) and that was causing the issue. Touchy thing.
