Post-processing of the image likely failed…

  • I installed ImageMagick in an attempt to resolve this error message when uploading a small image as a featured image for a blog:
    “Post-processing of the image likely failed because the server is busy or does not have enough resources. Uploading a smaller image may help. Suggested maximum size is 2500 pixels.”
    It doesn’t appear to have made any difference but I am not especially technical and wonder if there re some settings I need to change?
    My post_max_size and Upload_max_size are both 16M.
    I am running WP 5.5 and PHP 7.3.2
    Any help much appreciated!

    Sorry, as this is not directly related to this plugin, but the server config, this may not be the correct forum. But I can say that the error message is more likely affected by the setting MEMORY_LIMIT than upload size, since the memory or timeout is what’s used when processing the image.
