Post Previews not showing template change

  • Hi all

    Come across a strange issues when previewing a post/page. The previewing will show changes to the text but not to a Template, ie choosing a different page template does not reflect in the preview.

    I’ve disabled any caching plugins and resaved permalinks just in case but no change.

    Don’t know if our site has been doing this for a while or has always been doing this and just not noticed until now. Maybe something has been introduced in the newer versions of WP that require an update to template code to allow this?

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi Castor,
    As you said you’re previewing the page and template change is not effecting. So after changing the template just hit once “Save Draft” button, by doing this your page will not be published but you changes on preview will be shown also changed template will be shown.

    Hope this is what you’re looking for.
