Post preview not working and drafts not saving

Hi everyone-

I just upgraded to 3.0.5 over the weekend, and am hitting a few bugs. The latest most significant problem is that the “Save Draft” button doesn’t seem to work. When I click it I do get the “Post Updated” message, but if I try to preview the post, I get a 404 error. Also, this saved draft does not appear on my list of draft posts.

I noticed that the permalink displayed under the title isn’t correct – I’m using the [domain]/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ structure, but the permalink only displays as [domain]/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%// – the %postname% is left out, but there is an extra / at the end showing that it should have been there.

I updated the .htaccess with the code at the bottom of the Permalinks page, but it’s still not working.

I also tried using the standard [domain]/p=%post_id% permalink, but that also didn’t save to the list or preview. However, when I tried to preview it, instead of a 404 error I just got a page with no post text – the theme showed fine, and page elements that were hardcoded into the page showed up, but no post title, body text, author, etc (nothing coming out of the database) displayed.
